Struggles at University - Dyslexia and I

Dyslexia is a discrepancy between written and verbal language abilities. It might result in slow and inaccurate reading, untidy handwriting or bizarre and inconsistent spelling in an otherwise intelligent person. Hence, dyslexics may be slower at completing their academic assignments than their non-dyslexic peers.

Some universities are better at supporting dyslexic students than others. Choosing the right university and course is a big decision. If you know you have Dyslexia it is advisable that you investigate the support facilities at the university of your choice, in order to make sure provisions can be put in place to support your Dyslexia.

In this Video, Shara Sood, a mild sufferer of Dyslexia, talks about her own experience at Uni!
